2024-2025 BASKETBALL MINISTRY

Trinity Presbyterian Church is all about Basketball!

Playing team sports is a great way to learn the fundamentals of the sport, to learn how to work together to achieve a goal, and most importantly learn good sportsmanship. Our goal since the beginning of our basketball ministry is to pass on a love of the sport, to be better at it by the end of the season than you were when you started and have a lot of fun working together as a team, by providing the community with a safe, stable, Christian environment for young people to participate in an organized basketball league with teams of their age group.

All our teams are associated with the Wade Hampton Church Basketball League and play other teams in the league.

Each team will have a head coach, and most of our teams will have at least one assistant coach. All the adults who volunteer in our basketball ministry have cleared Trinity Presbyterian’s child protection training and background check procedures and are committed to the safety and well-being of all the kids who play.

2024-2025 Basketball Game Schedules

The Wade Hampton League publishes the game schedule for the 2024-2025 season a week or two before games actually begin. As soon as we receive the game schedule we will post that schedule here. For general planning purposes, the vast majority of the games in this league happen on Saturdays beginning in late November or early December and go through the end of February.

Registration for the 2024-2025 Season

is now closed!

We can only accept registrations for the Middle School Girls team and the High School Boys team.

All other teams are full as of October 30, 2024.

If you would like to register for the MS girls or HS boys teams, please send an email to basketball@trinitytr.org to request a link to the registration form.

Cost to Register: $90

Cost to Register and purchase a uniform: $125 (uniform cost: $35.00)

If you did not play last year or if you uniform does not fit, you will need to purchase a new uniform.

Registration Period: Sept 9th – Nov 1st.

Practice Schedule: October 7th-Nov 22nd.

Saturday Games: Dec 7th-March 15th

Banquet: March 23rd or 30th

PAYMENT INFORMATION

When you click on the “Pay Registration Fee” button a new window will open that will take you to Trinity Presbyterian’s payment portal. You can choose to make a one-time payment or choose to set up an online identity for making recurring payments. By setting up an identity you will not be required to reenter your information when you return to make a payment.

When making an electronic payment you will be making a payment to the Presbyterian Foundation and will receive a statement from the Presbyterian Foundation for the payment of your registration fees. The payments that you make here will be transferred to Trinity Basketball Ministry and will be applied to your account.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Player eligibility for ages 4 through 18 as of February 24, 2025.

Teams are fielded for the following age groups:

K4-K5 COED

1^st-2^nd Grade Boys

1^st-2^nd Grade Girls

3^rd-5^th Grade Boys

3^rd-5^th Grade Girls

6^th-8^th Grade Boys

6^th-8^th Grade Girls

9^th-12^th Grade Boys

Each team has a head coach; some have assistant coaches as desired
Regular Season starts in November for the Wade Hampton Church Basketball League.

Season starts with practices the week of October 16, 2024; each coach decides when to start practices for their team.

Possible 10 or 12 game regular season with group playoffs in February 2025.

If player makes his/her school team, (either Varsity or Junior Varsity) they cannot participate on our teams.

Teams are competing in a Christian environment:

- Respect, fairness, sportsmanship, & proper language are expected, including prayer.
- No tolerance for fighting, cussing, or unfair participation (only eligible players allowed).
- Individual and team awards will be given out as determined by each individual head coach after the season.
