FAITH FORMATION
Sunday School classes for all ages meet from 9:00 to 10:00, often with offerings also on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. Our many education offerings are listed under “Education” and in our Christian Education catalogue, which you can find in the Narthex and on the tables in the main hallway.
Children’s Education
In Jesus’ words we find our reason and purpose for bringing ministry to children and their families. Children’s ministry is about opening the door to the meaning of a life guided by faith and formed within the Christian community. The pastors and staff of each aspect of our children’s ministry are committed to providing your children with opportunities that are fun, child-oriented, and biblical.
In both our younger and older elementary classes, we use the Presbyterian Follow Me curriculum to learn more about God’s Word and God’s love for us.
Throughout the year we have special educational events like “Bible 101 for Children and Families,” a mission project, and “Worship 101 for Children and Families.” We also have community-focused fellowship events including Halloween’s Trunk-or-Treat and an Easter Egg Hunt.
NURSERY
Children 2 years of age and younger are welcome in our Nursery, which is divided between infants and toddlers. The nursery is in the Bullard Building, with Sunday hours beginning at 8:45. We also offer nursery care for our various evening programs.
Infant and Toddler Nursery
Sunday mornings starting at 8:45 in the church nursery located between the Sanctuary and the Fellowship Hall.
Facts about our Nursery Ministry
If you bring a toddler or infant to our nursery, please bring a diaper bag. Our infants do not mingle with our toddlers, even if they are siblings, so please bring separate bags for each. We offer snacks, so if you have special needs, please address these with our nursery coordinator.
Youth Ministry
The youth ministry of Trinity Presbyterian Church is a God-centered, safe community that nurtures youth to seek God and be lifelong disciples equipped to love and serve others through faith and fellowship.
Youth Group on Sunday Nights
Youth from 6th through 12th grade gather on Sunday nights to spend time together, discuss matters of faith, play games, learn the stories of the faith, and pray with one another. We meet in the downstairs in the Youth wing below the Fellowship Hall, which includes space for Sr. High youth and another space for Mid-High youth.
- Gather! Contemporary Worship at 5:00 pm
- Dinner is served for all from 6:00-7:30
- Mid-High Youth Group (grades 6-8) meet from 6:30-8:00
- Senior High Youth Group (grades 9-12) meet from 6:30-8:00
Summer Trips
Each summer our youth take part in week-long trips together. Whether we’re serving in a soup kitchen, building relationships on foreign mission trips, or deepening our faith alongside young people from across the country at Montreat, our youth are taking part in God’s mission to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God.
- Mid-High Mission Trip (grades 6-8)
- Senior High Mission Trip (grades 9-12)
- Montreat Youth Conference (grades 9-12)
Confirmation
Our 8th grade students take part in confirmation, which is designed to allow each participant to discover or rediscover that God has called, loved, and known them from the very beginning. Each participant will have an opportunity to claim the Christian faith as his or her own and place it in the context of our church community.
Confirmation is a journey that begins each year in January and runs through early May. Each confirmand is paired with a covenant partner who is an elder in the church. Covenant partners are mentors who walk with confirmands along their journey of faith.

Adult Education
Christian Education is a ministry at Trinity Presbyterian Church for all ages so “that the family of God may be adequately equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:17). Because the 21st Century poses difficult challenges to Christians, Trinity Presbyterian Church offers this ministry to everyone that they might “grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18) and “having all sufficiency in all things to abound to every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8) in our daily lives.
Each of our offerings promises members and visitors encouragement and challenge in their daily walk of being faithful Christians at home, work, school, and leisure. We hope your experience of Christian Education at Trinity Presbyterian Church is life-affirming and faith-enriching.
Unless otherwise noted, all these classes meet Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 10:00. We also offer classes from September to May on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm, and on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm.
