Trey obtained his Bachelor of Science in Physics and Music from Furman University in May of 2018. While studying voice with Lisa Barksdale, she suggested he participate in the newly formed First Worship service at Trinity. He has called Trinity home ever since. Though he initially played guitar and sang in the First Worship service, Trey soon began participating in the chancel choir as a soloist and conductor. In January of 2019 he officially became the Chancel Choir Director for the traditional worship service and the Assistant Worship Leader for the First Worship service.
From the time he started playing bass in church in his hometown of Lexington, South Carolina, Trey has had a passion for worship. This took many forms, including leading worship for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at White Knoll High School and Furman University and being invited twice to play with his band in Christian music worship rallies on the state house steps in Columbia. He learned conducting from Dr. Hugh Floyd and honed this craft as the music director for the Furman University Bell Tower Boys and Furman University Mosquitoes. He currently teaches guitar, ukulele, and voice at NoteAbility Music School, and he is very excited for the opportunity to grow the Trinity choir and lead the congregation in musical worship."
